AU will ban all smoking and tobacco on campus by Aug. 1, 2013, President Neil Kerwin announced in a University-wide memo Nov. 5. Student leaders have come out against the policy, saying it does not address concerns about student safety and neighbor relations.

AU students were among the 24,000 who braved the cold to see President Barack Obama at a “get-out-the-vote” rally in Bristow, Va. on Nov. 3. Many of them also worked for the campaign in the swing state of Virgina leading up to the Nov. 6 election.

CAUS rally canceled due to hurricane
