Friends beyond fences

Berlin was a cruel place in the midst of World War II. The good, the bad, the one: enjoy dating, fall weather

I've talked a lot about putting yourself out there and not being afraid to make a move. But what about the people who are looking for something more than just a booty call? What about finding that special someone with whom you have an inexplicable bond? How in the world is it possible to go about finding your one true love? Traveler seeks solace from city in forest

I never enjoyed road trips until I came to Madagascar. After 13 hours on a bus, I am still enchanted with the naked hills, gashed open where the soil eroded away. Brush fires leave swaths of hillside blackened, the flames licking the grass in wider and wider circles.

Gallery honors modern women

Whether they are women who refused to give up their seat on a bus one stormy afternoon in Alabama and sparked a civil rights revolution, such as Rosa Parks, or women that created a standard of etiquette, such as Emily Post, many women stand as pieces of the great puzzle of 20th century America in the National Portrait Gallery's "Women of Our Time" exhibit.

No 'Far Cry' from perfect

Open-world games have fascinated players since the days of "Grand Theft Auto III," but since then most games that have dared the concept have been "GTA" clones or simply role-playing games - a slow-paced genre that doesn't always make for the most exciting gameplay.

Stars navigate politics, ethics

The concrete outside of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles is dry and cracked, and the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame are now no more than a place for streetwalkers to spit their gum and stomp their cigarettes. Both are obsolete monuments to the long-faded glory of the "Golden Days" of entertainment.
