Emotion rules drama and dance

A five-week run of an innovative double bill featuring the Theater Alliance and Daniel Burkholder The Playground opened Thursday at the H St. Playhouse. The evening included a one-act play, "The Dispute," by French author Marivaux, directed by Jeremy Skidmore with a new 45-minute improvisational dance, "Buried in the Sky" by Burkholder.

Hyperactive headbanger heats up Tavern

Party enthusiast Andrew W.K. brought his hard-hitting riffs and dumbed-down, but oddly refreshing lyrics to more than 300 fans in the Tavern Thursday night. After playing Nation, the MCI Center, the D.C. Warped Tour, George Washington University and the 9:30 Club several times in the past year, Thursday's show, sponsored by the Student Union Board, marked his first at AU.

Insane fans greet clowns

A line of painted faces filled the sidewalks bordering Nation Tuesday night as the Wicked Wonka tour came to D.C. On the bill were Insane Clown Posse, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, the Kottonmouth Kings and Tech Nin9. In spite of the numerous major-label acts appearing on the tour, it was clear that most of the crowd was there to see the Insane Clown Posse.

Dance dominates District

Violent end to 'Day'

Avatar Films' "Zero Day" depicts two incredibly disturbed teenagers who, armed with automatic rifles, handguns and an excess of explosives, march into their high school to avenge the emotional torment their classmates have put them through. The characters of Andre and Cal, loosely based on Columbine's Dyllan Klebold and Eric Harris, are two freakishly average, high school outcasts who document their lives for approximately one year, inevitably leading to "zero day."



Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
