Michelle Kirk became the 12th women’s basketball player at AU to join the 1,000 point club, while the Eagles defeated the Lafayette University Leopards 53-31 Saturday at Bender Arena.

AU basketball player Michelle Kirk surpassed the 1,000-point mark on Saturday, but it was the team’s undefeated record that Kirk raved about after the game. She contributed nine points to the win against the Lafayette Leopards. She said she found inspiration to succeed in her desire for more play time.
